Majuro, Marshall Islands — February 11, 2025 – The Office of the President is pleased to announce that the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) has formally submitted its updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
This updated NDC reaffirms RMI’s commitment to transitioning away from fossil fuels and strengthening efforts to safeguard our communities, ecosystems, culture, and economy from the impacts of climate change.
By submitting our NDC on time, RMI continues to lead by example in global climate action, taking concrete steps to ensure a resilient and sustainable future for generations to come. The Government looks forward to working with all stakeholders to implement this plan and advance a climate-secure future for our nation.
