November 17, a Public Holiday (President’s Day), honoring our founding father and previous President, according to the Public Act 1988 [P.L. 1988-16, S1.]
We recognize the importance of today and pay gratitude to our founding father RMI’s first President, the late Iroojlaplap Amata Kabua who was a great leader and visionary to the government and the people of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Today is a day to feel pride and respect as we reconnect with our country’s rich history and commemorate the late President Amata Kabua. We wish to take this opportunity to extend our respects as well to all our previous leaders who helped shape our nation as we know it today. Happy President’s Day and jerammon to all!
