BERLIN, GERMANY – June 19, 2026 – On the margins of the Berlin Climate Mobility Forum, Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine held a quick pull-aside meeting with Her Excellency Dr. Ana Polak Petrič, Ambassador of Slovenia, just prior to a speaking engagement in the Forum’s panel on legal opinions to rights-based mobility policies.
The two leaders exchanged views on shared global priorities and multilateral engagement. Ambassador Polak Petrič also discussed Slovenia’s campaign for election to the International Law Commission for the 2028–2032 term. As a gesture of friendship and goodwill, President Heine presented Ambassador Polak Petrič with a traditional Marshallese turtle amimono set and conveyed her best wishes for a successful campaign.
