President Heine Attends Opening Session of Berlin Climate Mobility Forum

BERLIN, GERMANY – June 18, 2026 – H.E. President Hilda C. Heine attended the opening session of the 2026 Berlin Climate Mobility Forum (BCMF), a high-level international forum convening leaders, policymakers, experts, and community representatives to advance solutions to address the growing impacts of climate change on communities worldwide.

Building on discussions from its inaugural meeting in 2025, this year’s Forum focuses on strengthening global cooperation on climate mobility, including efforts to support communities facing displacement, enhance adaptation and resilience, expand access to climate finance, and address the challenges posed by sea-level rise.

As a longstanding advocate for climate-vulnerable nations, President Heine’s participation reaffirmed the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ commitment to ensuring that international climate action reflects the realities of frontline communities while safeguarding their rights, livelihoods, and futures.

The Berlin Climate Mobility Forum provides an important platform for advancing dialogue, forging partnerships, and promoting coordinated action to address one of the defining challenges of our time
