MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – June 9, 2026 – Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine, acting upon a Cabinet decision of June 8, 2026 and in accordance with the emergency powers conferred under the Disaster Risk Management Act 2023, has issued an Executive Order declaring a State of Emergency for Ebeye.
This action follows the devastating fire on June 6, 2026, which resulted in significant loss and destruction of several business and homes in Ebeye, Kwajalein.
