H.E. President Heine Accepts Credentials of New Ambassador from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of the Marshall Islands

MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – March 12, 2026 – H.E. Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence from Her Excellency Dr. Asima Rabbani, Ambassador-designate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of the Marshall Islands, during a Presentation of Credentials Ceremony held at the Cabinet Conference Room.

President Heine welcomed Ambassador Rabbani and accepted the Letter of Credence appointing her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The ceremony formally marked the commencement of Ambassador Rabbani’s diplomatic mission as Non-Resident Ambassador of Pakistan to the Marshall Islands.

President Heine congratulated Ambassador Rabbani on her appointment and reaffirmed the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ appreciation for the valued relationship between the two countries. She also conveyed best wishes for a successful tenure and assured the Ambassador of the full cooperation and support of the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands in the discharge of her duties.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Minister in Assistance to the President and Environment Bremity Lakjohn, Foreign Minister Kalani Kaneko, Finance, Banking and Postal Services Minister David Paul, Works, Infrastructure and Utilities Minister Thomas Heine, Transportation, Communication & IT Minister Hilton Kendall, Education, Sports and Training Minister Gerald Zackios, and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
