H.E. President Hilda C. Heine Lead Delegation to Indo-Pacific Energy Security Ministerial and Business Forum

MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – March 12, 2026 — H.E. President Hilda C. Heine will lead a delegation to attend the Indo-Pacific Energy Security Ministerial and Business Forum (IPEM) on March 14–15, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan.

The forum is co-hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the United States’ National Energy Dominance Council, with support from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency and other U.S. government partners. IPEM is a premier, invitation-only forum bringing together government and industry leaders to strengthen partnerships, unlock investment, and promote resilient and secure energy supply chains in the region.

Following the forum, President Heine will travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she will host a Community Townhall Meeting with the Marshallese community on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Her Excellency is joined by Foreign Minister Honorable Kalani Kaneko, Public Works, Infrastructure and Utilities Minister Honorable Thomas Heine, Chief of Staff Emma Kabua-Tibon, and officials from the Marshalls Energy Company (MEC), National Energy Office (NEO), and the RMI Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).

While President Heine is on official travel, Education, Sports and Training Minister Gerald Zackios will serve as Acting President.
