CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA — February 2, 2026 — H.E. President Hilda C. Heine attended the Parliamentary Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra as part of her Official Visit to Australia, where she laid a wreath in honor of those who served and sacrificed in defense of peace and freedom.
President Heine joined Australia’s Prime Minister, the Honorable Anthony Albanese, along with parliamentary representatives and officials, in paying tribute during the solemn ceremony, which commemorates the service of Australian and allied personnel. Her participation reflected the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ deep respect for remembrance, reconciliation, and the shared commitment to peace.
