CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA — February 2, 2026 — H.E. President Hilda C. Heine, First Gentleman Thomas Kijiner, Jr. and members of the official delegation, attended an Official Welcome Dinner hosted by Senator the Hon Nita Green of Queensland, Assistant Minister for Pacific Island Affairs, Tourism and Northern Australia, as part of her Official Visit to Australia.
The dinner brought together senior Australian government officials and representatives to engage in informal discussions on strengthening cooperation between the Republic of the Marshall Islands and Australia. Conversations covered shared priorities including climate change and adaptation, gender equality, trade, and opportunities to strengthen the business sector, infrastructure and economic development.
