H.E. President Heine Accepts Credentials of New Ambassador from the Netherlands to RMI

MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – October 7, 2025 – H.E. President Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence presented by Her Excellency Maria Alfonsa Magdalena Geraedts, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The presentation ceremony took place at the Cabinet Conference Room, formally marking the commencement of Ambassador Geraedts’s diplomatic mission in the Marshall Islands.

President Heine warmly welcomed Ambassador Geraedts and extended her sincere congratulations on her appointment. In her remarks, President Heine expressed the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ appreciation for the friendship and cooperation between the RMI and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, highlighting shared values and mutual interests. President Heine reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to working closely with Ambassador Geraedts to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance mutual priorities during her tenure.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Kalani Kaneko and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
