H.E. President Heine Accepts Credentials of New Ambassador from Norway to RMI

MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – October 7, 2025 – H.E. President Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence presented by Her Excellency Kristin Iglum, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The presentation ceremony took place at the Cabinet Conference Room, formally marking the commencement of Ambassador Iglum’s diplomatic mission in the Marshall Islands.

President Heine warmly welcomed Ambassador Iglum and extended her sincere congratulations on her appointment. In her remarks, President Heine expressed the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ appreciation for the friendly relations between the RMI and the Kingdom of Norway, highlighting shared values and mutual interests. President Heine reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to working closely with Ambassador Iglum to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance common priorities throughout her tenure.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Kalani Kaneko, Health and Human Services Minister Ota Kisino, Justice, Immigration and Labor Minister Wisely Zackhras, and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
