Majuro, Marshall Islands – January 13, 2025 – Miss Pacific Moemoana Schwenke paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine on January 13, 2025, at the Cabinet Conference Room.
President Heine welcomed Miss Pacific Schwenke and Miss Marshall Islands Chong Gum, expressing her full support for their roles, and gave recognition to the Office of Commerce, Investment, and Tourism (OCIT) for their ongoing role in promoting the program.
During the meeting, Miss Pacific shared about the importance of the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant and her vision of creating opportunities and support systems through her platform to uplift and encourage the next generation of women in the Pacific. She highlighted her travel experiences to the various North Pacific countries, including the Marshall Islands, to learn about different cultures, values, and pressing issues. By enriching her understanding of the diverse challenges faced across the Pacific, she hopes to use her role as Miss Pacific to support these communities and advocate for positive change.
Miss Pacific Moemoana was accompanied by Miss Marshall Islands Claret Chong Gum, OCIT CEO Carlos Domnick, Tourism Manager Kimber Rilometo, and officials from the Miss Pacific team and the Office of Commerce, Investment, and Tourism.
