On November 6, 2023 in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, His Excellency David Kabua and Honorable Foreign Minister Jack Ading met with Honorable Mark Brown, Chair of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) and Prime Minister of the Cook Islands to convey his appreciation to the people and Government of the Cooks Islands for hosting the 52nd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting. During the meeting, both Kabua and Brown committed to work together in the Forum affairs and discussed issues of shared interest including ocean, fisheries, education and the importance of the USP, and global engagement among others. RMI Ambassador Junior Aini to Fiji and Pacific Island Countries was also in attendance.

Following their meeting with PIF Chair Prime Minister of the Cook Islands, His Excellency David Kabua joined the Presidents of Federated States of the Micronesia, the Republic of Kiribati, the Republic of Palau, and  the Republic of Nauru for their Special President’s Summit (MPS) Meeting ahead of the PIF Leaders meeting scheduled for November 8, 2023. The special meeting provided an opportunity for the leaders to discuss and further get updates on the implementation of the Suva Agreement. President Kabua was accompanied by Honorable Foreign Minister Jack Ading, RMI Ambassador Junior Aini to Fiji and Pacific Island Countries, and SIS Officer Winder Loeak.
