Acting President Wilbur Heine receives an exit courtesy visit from His Excellency Republic of Korea Ambassador Young-kyu Park

On Monday October 23, 2023, His Excellency Ambassador Young-kyu Park Republic of Korea (RoK) paid an exit courtesy visit to the Acting President Wilbur Heine.

Honorable Minister Jack Ading, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and government officials from the Office of the President and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade witnessed the courtesy visit.

Acting President Wilbur Heine extended his sincerest greetings of welcoming back His Excellency Ambassador Young-kyu Park to the Marshall Islands. Acting President Wilbur Heine stated that “the bilateral relations between our two nations have grown and deepened through concrete and purposive cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations nearly 32 years ago in 1991. We hope to continue to build on this relationship for many years to come.” Acting President Heine was honored to convey his gratitude on behalf of His Excellency President David Kabua, the People and Government of the RMI for the kind support and extraordinary efforts during his tenure as an Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to the Republic of the Marshall Islands for the past three years. Acting President Heine congratulated His Excellency Ambassador Park on his new assignment and wished him the very best.

His Excellency Ambassador Young-kyu Park expressed his most sincere appreciation for the welcome he received and gratitude for accepting his exit courtesy visit. His Excellency Ambassador Park looks forward in the near future with the new Ambassador appointed to work with the Government and the people of the Marshall Islands to further extend our valuable bilateral relationship. He also commended Marshall Islands leadership regionally and globally, particularly on Energy, Water Supply and in-country Mobility. HE Ambassador hopes to return to our humble shores in the future.
