MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – March 3, 2026 – H.E. President Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence from His Excellency Davide Giglio, Ambassador-designate of the Italian Republic to the Republic of the Marshall Islands, during a Presentation of Credentials Ceremony held at the Cabinet Conference Room. The ceremony formally marked the commencement of Ambassador Giglio’s diplomatic mission to the Marshall Islands as Non-Resident Ambassador of Italy.
President Heine welcomed Ambassador Giglio and accepted the Letter of Credence appointing him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of the Marshall Islands, as well as the Letter of Recall of his predecessor.
President Heine conveyed best wishes for a successful tenure and reaffirmed the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ appreciation for the strong and valued relationship between the two countries. President Heine further assured Ambassador Giglio of the full cooperation and support of the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands as he undertakes his duties, expressing confidence that bilateral relations will continue to grow and strengthen for the mutual benefit of both nations.
The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Minister in Assistance to the President and Environment Hon. Minister Bremity, Foreign Minister Kalani Kaneko, Transportation, Communication & IT Minister Hilton Kendall, Justice, Immigration and Labor Minister Wisely, and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
