Groundbreaking ceremony for the new Interim/Domestic Terminal Project at Amata Kabua International Airport

MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – March 3, 2026 — Her Excellency Hilda C. Heine participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Interim/Domestic Terminal Project at Amata Kabua International Airport, ceremonially turning the first soil to formally commence construction on this critical infrastructure initiative. President Heine was joined by Alap Marie Maddison, representing the landowners of Monajera Weto, Transportation, Communication and Information Technology Minister Hilton Kendall, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Gregory D’Alessandro, and Mr. Jerry Kramer.
