President Hilda Heine Accepts Credentials of New Ambassador from the Republic of Korea

Majuro, Marshall Islands – June 27, 2024 – Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence from His Excellency Ambassador KIM Jin Hyung, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The presentation ceremony took place at the Cabinet Conference Room, marking the beginning of Ambassador KIM’s diplomatic mission in the Marshall Islands.

During the ceremony, President Heine extended her warm congratulations to Ambassador KIM on his appointment and expressed her pleasure in welcoming H.E. KIM Jin Hyung to the Marshall Islands. President Heine assured Ambassador KIM of the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ cooperation and support during his tenure.

H.E. KIM Jin Hyung is a non-resident Ambassador based in Suva, Fiji.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Minister Bremity Lakjohn, Minister-in-Assistance to the President and Environment, Foreign Minister Kalani Kaneko, Finance Minister David Paul, Justice Minister Wisely Zackhras, Transportation, Communication and IT Minister Hilton Kendall, and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
