April 30, 2024 – Majuro, Marshall Island – Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine received a courtesy visit today from Rear Admiral Wangtien Yao-Tsung, Commander of the Midshipmen Cruising and Training Squadron from the Republic of China (Taiwan), along with distinguished naval officers. Accompanying Rear Admiral Wangtien Yao-Tsung were Ambassador Steve C.C. Hsia and Mrs. Hsia.

President Heine warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed her heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for their courtesy visit. The President looks forward to tonight’s festivities on-board the Pan-Shi Vessel of Midshipmen Cruising and Training Squadron of the ROC Navy.

This visit holds particular significance as it marks the second occasion that the Midshipmen Cruising and Training Squadron has graced our shores after the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the Republic of the Marshall Islands celebrates its 45th Constitution Day, President Heine extended her sincere appreciation to the ROC Taiwan Midshipmen Cruising and Training Squadron for choosing to visit during this auspicious occasion.

The visit concluded with exchanges of goodwill and reaffirmed commitments to continued collaboration in various areas for the mutual benefit of our peoples.
