MAJURO, MARSHALL ISLANDS – December 1, 2025 – Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence presented by His Excellency Herbert W.M. Hsu, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The presentation ceremony took place at the Cabinet Conference Room, marking the beginning of Ambassador Hsu’s diplomatic mission in the Marshall Islands.
President Heine warmly welcomed Ambassador Hsu to the Marshall Islands and extended heartfelt congratulations on his appointment. President Heine reaffirmed the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ continued commitment to strengthening the long-standing relationship between the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Republic of China (Taiwan) and further assured Ambassador Hsu of the fullest cooperation and support in advancing mutual priorities and development goals.
The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Honorable Bremity Lakjohn, Minister-in-Assistance to the President and Environment; Honorable Kalani Kaneko, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade; Honorable David Paul, Minister of Finance, Banking and Postal Services; Honorable Ota Kisino, Minister of Health & Human Services; Honorable Hilton Kendall, Minister of Transportation, Communications and IT; Honorable Jess Gasper, Jr., Minister of Culture and Internal Affairs; and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
