H.E. President Heine Accepts Credentials of New Ambassador from Philippines to RMI

Majuro, Marshall Islands – October 9, 2024 – Her Excellency President Hilda C. Heine officially accepted the Letter of Credence presented by Her Excellency Mylene J. Garcia-Albano, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines to the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The presentation ceremony took place at the Cabinet Conference Room, marking the beginning of Ambassador Garcia-Albano‘s diplomatic mission in the Marshall Islands.

President Heine warmly welcomed Ambassador Garcia-Albano to the Marshall Islands and extended heartfelt congratulations on her appointment. President Heine expressed the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands’ unwavering commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations between the two nations and further assured Ambassador Garcia-Albano of the fullest cooperation and support in advancing mutual interests.

The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Minister Bremity Lakjohn, Minister-in-Assistance to the President and Environment, Foreign Minister Kalani Kaneko, Justice Minister Wisely Zackhras, and officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
