Majuro, Marshall Islands – President Hilda C. Heine hosted a luncheon at the Marshall Islands Resort on June 15, 2024 to welcome dignitaries attending the 10th Micronesian Games in Majuro. The welcome event, held just prior to the official opening of the Micronesian Games, brought together esteemed guests from across the Micronesian region to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship and cultural exchange.
The Micronesian Games has been a testament to regional cooperation and camaraderie through sports. The Games also provide a platform for our athletes to learn the principles of discipline and dedication and an opportunity to showcase their skills and talents as they compete on stage, further strengthening bonds between Micronesian nations. Attendees included heads of states, government officials, federation representatives from respective National Olympic Committees, and distinguished guests from donor countries and partners.
